We are excited and honored to once again be an
active chapter of UOTS, Inc., rededicating ourselves to helping those
persons in need in our community.
This chapter of UOTS is based in LexisNexis, a corporation that is a
provider of legal research, client development, and practice management
for the legal community. We are indeed fortunate to have this
prestigious corporation as a philanthropic supporter of UOTS-Dayton #47.
One of the philanthropic projects provided by Dayton #47 is to continue
the tradition of Cincinnati's chapter, Ruth #18. Every child who has
been a resident of the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home over the past
14 years will receive their very own birthday celebration courtesy of
Kathy and Brennan Fugazzi. Through support of Anderson Publishing and
now Lexis-Nexis, a gift, balloon, choice of cake and $25 are the treats
that the birthday boy or girl will enjoy.
Additionally, it is our intention to provide scholarships for needy
children to Camp Make a Dream in Missoula, Montana. We will also provide
scholarships for children with cancer and other blood related diseases
to attend Camp Hole in the Woods. We will continue to reach out to
persons with Cancer and their families to assist with personal care
service such as providing wigs, prostheses and other comfort items.

Dayton
47 members and employees of LexisNexis recently sponsored a Halloween
Party at the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home. Children bobbed for
apples, enjoyed a special fried chicken dinner, played kick ball and
decorated pumpkins. The event was held 10/10/2008. Please view our
