Immanuel No. 1 is the
oldest chapter of UOTS, Inc. having been founded in Temple Immanuel
in 1846 by Henrietta Bruckman. It is still located in New York City
and is active in spite of the declining number of members. This year
they will celebrate their 160th birthday. They continue to be a
benefactor of children with Cancer, providing scholarships for
camps. Additionally, they provide personal service to cancer
patients and their families.
